Questions & answers
The short, honest answers
What partners, families and property owners ask us most. If your question is not here, ask it — you will get a straight reply.
What is sober living?
Sober living is a shared home for people in recovery from alcohol or drug use. Residents live together in a drug- and alcohol-free house, follow house rules, and are expected to take part in the sober living program — including regular drug testing. It is housing with structure, not a clinical treatment service.
Who do you house?
Two groups: individuals in recovery who need a sober living home, and women with children who are facing challenges or transitioning to a new chapter in their lives.
Is the house really drug- and alcohol-free?
Yes. We provide a drug- and alcohol-free environment. Every resident is expected to participate in our sober living program, including regular drug tests, and we support them through the recovery journey. Breaches are handled; they are not ignored.
What are the house rules?
Our homes operate with clear and fair guidelines, helping residents build healthy habits, responsibility, and stability for their future. Rules are explained before move-in, so nobody arrives to a surprise.
How long can someone stay?
We offer extended stays. We believe in long-term success, so people are not pushed out the moment they find work — stability takes time to hold.
Do you house women with children?
Yes. We understand the unique needs of families and offer housing solutions that promote stability, unity, and long-term success, so a mother is not forced to choose between housing and keeping her children with her.
How do I refer a client?
Use the referral form on this site — one per client — or email us at admin@gmcreativelivingsolutions.com. Send the client’s situation and what kind of housing they need; anything else you can share helps us answer faster.
How quickly will I hear back?
We aim to reply the same working day. If a placement is urgent, say so in your message and we will treat it as urgent.
Can I refer myself?
If you are looking for housing for yourself or your family, email us and tell us what you need. We will tell you honestly what is available and whether we are the right fit.
Are you a treatment centre or detox facility?
No. Our homes are sober living and recovery residences: housing with structure, house rules and accountability. We do not provide medical or clinical care. Clients who need treatment should stay with their treatment provider — our part is the stable home that makes recovery possible.
Where are your homes?
Our homes are in the community, and availability changes as residents move on. Email or send a referral with the area you need and we will tell you what is currently open.
What does it cost to stay?
Costs depend on the house and on the resident’s funding situation. Tell us about the specific case and we will be straightforward about what applies — we would rather have that conversation early than surprise anyone later.
Do you work with property owners?
Yes. We lease homes and manage them closely: reliable payments, strict house rules, a good-neighbour policy, and a house kept move-in ready. See the property partners page for the eight commitments we make to owners.
Do you serve a particular faith or group?
We are a community-minded provider and we house people of any background. What we ask of residents is the same for everyone: a sober, respectful household.
